Our Coefficient of Inbreeding is calculated to the maximum number of generations we have for this dog.

The AVK is the Ancestor Loss Coefficient and it measures how many ancestors occur multiple times in 6 generations for this dog.
The higher the AVK, the more unique ancestors in the pedigree, the lower the AVK the more repeated ancestors.

If you can fill in any gaps in pedigrees please let us have details. We are especially looking for any pedigrees you may have for the early imports and their ancestors.
You can scan or photograph and then email to Linda Mayne.

this orange roan caught my eye at his first Show at 6 months old, and although I haven’t seen him since he is fulfilling his promise. Still only 3, I think his best years are still come as he drops into himself even more. Divergent head planes, large spongy nose extending over edge of muzzle, muzzle and skull balanced. Outline almost square, and with depth and width to chest, pleasing topline. Strong oval bone, with compact feet and spring to pastern. Thick pelt and harsh coat. Moved with width fore and aft, can move with fast pace. Again, perhaps a little slower pace would really demonstrate the heavy, pounding trot a little better. CC and BOB.

Top class male with a lovely expression enhanced by good furnishings & correct eye colour. Strong neck, with a good crest & slight divided dewlap. Good coat texture & thick skin, coat slightly soft on legs. Well muscled powerful mover, but felt he lost his topline slightly on the stack & he is a tad longer in loin than 1st place. Tailset is good but he does tend to flag it slightly on the move. A worthy Ch, but at almost 3 years old, I feel there is still more to come in what is a slow maturing breed, he will have many more successful days.

I liked this dog as he first entered the class, classic head and soft expression, good lay to shoulder and well off for rib, correct topline which he held on the move and well developed rear quarters, moved with drive, but just threw his elbows out on the return, If I’m nit picking I preferred the squarer shape of 1 when stacked. Shame his owner decided not to come back in for the RCC challenge.

a young W/O dog, not quite 3 years old but who really is in his prime and for me fitted the standard so well. A strongly made boy with good bone and substance, proportionate head and large eyes exuding a friendly expression, neck is strong and muscular into well laid shoulders and he has an excellent body shape with correct topline towards croup and muscular hindquarters which were well angulated. He is such an easy mover, clean in front and rear action and covering the ground freely, thick tail set on correctly and carried well. All topped off with a dense coat of harsh texture.

CC & BOB An excellently presented, well muscled and fantastic movement in this young white and orange male. Correct head, from depth of muzzle to equal ratio. Good eye placement and correct colouring. Ear set and length correct. Nice correct median furrow into occiput and nape of neck. Lovely powerful neck into strong muscled shoulders. Good depth of chest with a pronounced sternum. Excellent bone and feet. Correct topline, with excellent skin and coat. Strong loin leading into excellent rear angulation with evident muscle and strength in thigh. Movement is extremely strong and powerful, drives around the ring with a good stride and maintains his topline and correct tail carriage on the move.

W/O quality boy of good type. Lovely head with divergent planes. Kind eye of correct colour. Pleasing in expression. Muscular short neck, front assembly well made. Depth and ribbing good. He has a good topline and strong make and shape in rear. Plenty of bone for frame, coat and skin correct. Stood looks the part. But his forte is the sound breed typical movement in which he holds himself so well, giving a good length of stride. A worthy title holder and one to be proud of. Pleased to award him the Res CC. Well done.

A super dog to go over, full of breed type. He has a super headpiece, enhanced by a kind eye to give an almost human expression. Strong shortish neck in to well set shoulders, stands on good straight legs and feet. He is well ribbed, good depth of chest, firm in loin. Quarters well made with moderate angulation. Super outline on the stack but came alive on the move with a free action, holding his shape throughout and a wonderful tick tock tail action. Together this clinched the class for him and subsequently CC & BOB, I was pleased to see him shortlisted in a quality gundog group.

A most impressive Italian Spinone dog who has the most wonderful outline and was in wonderful muscle condition and coat. He has a glorious head and expression. Correct topline and carries his tail correctly. On the move he just cannot be ignored and he really impressed in profile today as the big ring really suits him. Judge Lee Cox.
