Our Coefficient of Inbreeding is calculated to the maximum number of generations we have for this dog.

The AVK is the Ancestor Loss Coefficient and it measures how many ancestors occur multiple times in 6 generations for this dog.
The higher the AVK, the more unique ancestors in the pedigree, the lower the AVK the more repeated ancestors.

If you can fill in any gaps in pedigrees please let us have details. We are especially looking for any pedigrees you may have for the early imports and their ancestors.
You can scan or photograph and then email to Linda Mayne.

an older b/r dog with a typical head, lovely eye shape and colour with close fitting rims giving him a kind expression. He has good front and rear angulation, not as much bone as 1 but still enough and nice round large feet. Square in outline, not as much of him as 1 but everything in proportion. Really good movement, an easy relaxed trot and one of the few that tick tocked his tail on the move. A well deserved RCC.

Brown roan who stood out in this class for breed type. Typical head with correct planes, excellent eyes and expression. A good square, robust dog with a short, strong neck, decent layback of shoulder, plenty of depth in chest and strong and straight forelegs with correctly sloping pasterns. Typical topline, broad, well-muscled rear, good angulation in stifle, well let down hocks and strong pasterns. Well off for bone, presented in good, harsh coat. Moved well, retaining his topline with excellent tail action.

A lovely robust Brown Roan dog, who played his handler up a bit but his placing and RCC could not be denied. Typical outline, strong bone with good head and expression, ears well set on. Very good front, well ribbed, plenty of heart and lung room. Well muscled loin. Hindquarters were muscular with good width of second thigh. Moved well, coat and skin good.

I found him a little narrow all through at the moment. He has a pleasing head with good balance, strong neck, good length to rib. Moved with good reach in front.

Five years nine months b/r correct head planes head balanced full wide nostrils squarely solidly built frame straight true front with length of upper arm good depth of body could appear stronger at the hocks I considered. Delightful temperament thick docked tail moved with a super extended profile trot thick coat with length muscled hindquarters. Both exhibits were a tad broad in skull for me but possessed kind typical expressions.

Another excellent Spinone, close up to 1st and on a par with the ticket winners, but he was a terrible fidget on the day, giving his owner a hard time. He is of that beautiful Italian type we need to see more of. Square, with the correct topline and underline. He has the most beautiful and typical head, beautiful eyes and a fabulous grouchy expression. One of the best I’ve seen. His coat is excellent for colour and presented beautifully. His front is text book, excellent ratio of upper arm, to shoulder placement. Rear well angulated. He has huge feet, another feature that we are losing in the breed. Moved well with correct tail placement.
