Our Coefficient of Inbreeding is calculated to the maximum number of generations we have for this dog.

The AVK is the Ancestor Loss Coefficient and it measures how many ancestors occur multiple times in 6 generations for this dog.
The higher the AVK, the more unique ancestors in the pedigree, the lower the AVK the more repeated ancestors.

If you can fill in any gaps in pedigrees please let us have details. We are especially looking for any pedigrees you may have for the early imports and their ancestors.
You can scan or photograph and then email to Linda Mayne.

A white and orange male who presents with good square outline. A nice typical head with good head planes. Pleasing expression, correct placement of eyes with correct ears. Good coat and thick skin, nice oval bone. Balanced front and rear angulation. Correct tail set and good movement.

Instantly recognisable as an Italian type Spinone. I absolutely love him. One look at his expression and I felt the tears in my eyes. This is what a good Spinone should be, a dog that gives you goosebumps. Absolutely full of breed type. Beautiful work in his head, divergent planes, roman nose, pronounced occiput and the most beautiful expression from dark ochre eyes. Ear of correct length and set on corner of his eye. Wonderful spongy nose. His neck is short and strong, he is square with superb bone and beautiful correct feet. Hocks just a tad short. Perfect coat and skin. Underline correct and Slight rise of topline. Good substance, rustic and fit for function. A dog I would love to own. With males like this in the UK there is hope for the breeds future regards type. I could not ignore such beautiful Italian breed type in the line up so was happy to award him the RCC.
