a w/o dog who has a classic head of good length, correct proportions with a lean skull. He has a square outline with good front and rear angulation, his coat is harsh and his skin thick. He excels in profile movement which is powerful yet relaxed. |

White and orange male that stood out for his overall balance and quality in breed type. Long lean head with correct planes. Oval shaped skull, roof like, sloping sides and pronounced occiput. Nothing exaggerated just providing that expression that in my opinion says Spinone. Short, strong, muscular neck leading to correctly set shoulders, excellent depth in chest. Strong straight forelegs, gently sloping front pasterns. Correct topline leading to a broad, muscular loin and well constructed hind quarters. Long, well-muscled thighs, good bend of stifle and broad hocks to strong rear pasterns. Excellent bone, thick leathery skin, presented in typical, harsh coat in excellent condition. On the move, his correct construction allows him a wonderful free, relaxed and effortless trot, while maintaining his topline. A joy to watch. I was pleased to award him CC and BOB. |

Another quality male, so square with good angulation fore and aft. Typey head on strong conical neck. Best of coats and skin, well off for muscle. Masculine head of good proportions, human expression. My first place just pipped him on movement. RBD RCC |

This boy demanded my attention as soon as he came in the ring, overall he screams spinoni, powerful, strong and robust covered in rough, well presented coat. His head planes are text book, with the almost human, regal expression that the breed is known for. He has the best front construction, well sprung ribs, correct body depth and length and strong rear quarters. On this move this boy stole my heart, covering the ground with ease, powering through the ground holding his topline well. He was well muscled and looked like he could work all day. Pleased to award him Best Dog and Best in Show. |

WOW! White and Orange boy that just comes alive on the move with that typical trot, maintaining his topline, and just looks like he could work all day without tiring. Divergent head planes with pronounced occiput, lean skull. Eyes giving the desired expression. Crested strong neck merging into well laid shoulder, strong oval bone and correct feet. Good topline into powerful hindquarters with good width of second thigh. Coat and skin typical of the breed. Well handled particularly on the move where he was allowed to demonstrate his lovely movement at the correct speed. Delighted to give him the CC and BOB and can only get even better with maturity. |

Another very good example of the breed with very good head proportions, good eye and expression and well-placed ears of good length. Good neck squarely built body good bone straight legs and also on good size shaped feet. Also presented in first class coat and condition. Moved with good stride holding correct top line. Has many of same breed virtues as winner but is young and needs more time to develop into his frame and complete the finished picture and sure he will have even more great days ahead. Close to one, Res CC. |

When I accepted this appointment, knowing it would be my first at this level in the breed, I had a template in mind of the dog I would be looking for. This male fitted it almost perfectly. Powerfully built, lovely square shape in profile and the most expressive of heads, nothing in exaggeration either in his super head shape, through his flowing lines and correct topline, to his well muscled rear and near perfect footfall, power yet gracefully in his gait I couldn’t resist not giving him the class, DCC and BOB |

This dog displays the ideal breed outline, showing excellent balance and a square build with a correct topline rising to strong loin. He has a very appealing head, lean skull, and correct planes. His front is excellent, neck short and muscular, chest deep with tight elbows and strong pasterns. Behind he is well muscled with correct stifle sweep, and he moves with a fast, driving gait. Although not as finished in body as my winner, at just two years old he is of top quality and already achieved his Show Champion status, his best has yet to come. |

This boy stood out in the class today. Having placed him well in a group before, he remains a memorable dog. Possesses a correct, square outline with the desired fall and rise to the topline. Excellent head of ideal proportions with divergent planes and a kind expression, enhanced by well-set ears. Short, strong neck leading to well-balanced angulation fore and aft. Quality feet on slightly sloping, but not excessive, pasterns. Well-ribbed with a strong loin. Moved with impressive reach and drive — a joy to watch. BD & Best in Show |

W/O 2 year old. What a smart Spinone. Took my eye when he came into the ring. His outline is correct, squarely built and hard to fault. True to breed type. Lovely in head and expression. Ears well set. Short neck leading to front assembly that is muscular with well laid shoulders. Super body and depth. Correct in topline. Broad firm hindquarters, stifle and tendons good. Plenty of bone for frame not overdone. Well padded feet of good shape. Coat and skin correct. Tail held to advantage. For me excellent on the stack so balanced, moved out sound and true on a good length breed typical trot. Still a young boy with more to come. Pleased to award him the CC and later BOB. Well done. |

I just loved this w/o dog, what a superb specimen of the breed, screams TYPE, masculine without a hint of coarseness, correct oval skull and divergent head planes, powerful neck set into well placed shoulders, superb bone and feet, his overall balance is copybook with superb body properties, broad muscular hindquarters, coarse, dense coat, on the move his excellence is most apparent where he maintains his static outline with correct topline and is free, easy and so very sound, one whose future I will follow, loved him and pleased to watch him go BIS 2 |

Hind quarters were muscular with good bend of stifle. Had a wonderful relaxed movement. Coat was coarse and dense and nicely flat. Really enjoyed going over this dog. My notes say ‘What a Spinone’ He took my breath away as he came into the ring. Like my RDCC this boy is Italian type through and through and what we should be striving for. His outline is a blueprint of our standard. He has a masculine head and expression, his eyes I would like a shade darker, but this should come with maturity. Ears correct length and set on corner of his eye. Short strong neck, leading into three dimensional front. He has perfect topline, croup and underline. Very Typical Spinone rear assembly, showing tendon clearly visible. Excellent depth to his chest. Great bone. Excellent coat and skin Tail held beautifully on the move. His outline on the move is also superb, a typical and powerful Spinone trot with metronome tail, and holding his topline. I was thrilled to have the opportunity to judge this male. Pleased to award him Dog CC and BIS. He’s one of the best Spinoni I’ve ever seen. |

Another quality young dog who is just out of junior and I liked a lot. Just needs a few more months on his back and I am sure he will be knocking on the door for top honours. Another of good size with nothing over done here. Very typical in head, well balanced, lean skull with that required roof like appearance. Scores in front assembly standing on the best of legs and feet. Well developed body with a good spring of rib along with well made quarters. Thick skin and a harsh dense coat. Sound on the move. |
