Our Coefficient of Inbreeding is calculated to the maximum number of generations we have for this dog.

The AVK is the Ancestor Loss Coefficient and it measures how many ancestors occur multiple times in 6 generations for this dog.
The higher the AVK, the more unique ancestors in the pedigree, the lower the AVK the more repeated ancestors.

If you can fill in any gaps in pedigrees please let us have details. We are especially looking for any pedigrees you may have for the early imports and their ancestors.

a mature b/r male with a great square outline. He has a lovely head, long and lean, with expressive eyes of good colour and a large nose. His angulation front and rear is balanced, he has enough depth of chest with a correct topline and minimal tuck up. Good bone and feet, well muscled hindquarters. His movement today was more enthusiastic than 2 which won him the class.

Upstanding dog who is well put together. For me just carrying a bit too much weight and would like better feet.

I’ve admired this boy when seeing him in working competitions so it was lovely to have the opportunity to go over him, he didn’t disappoint. All male he owned the ring when moving, super extension driving from the rear. Best of shoulders with good width of chest. Correct in underline and topline. Good strong oval bone, harsh coat. Typey head showing correct planes and big spongey nose. Lovely expression. BD DCC

This fella really caught my eye, with his big personality he was hard to ignore, presented in fantastic coat and hard condition. Beautiful head and eye colour, deep muzzle with good furnishings. Strong neck and well placed shoulders, a little long in rib, but it didn't affect his overall balance, strong well muscled hindquarters, covered the ground well once settled. Res Best dog

6 year old dog. Masculine and well built boy. Handled very well and moved free and relaxed, covering ground. Kind eyes, and typically very patient and affectionate. Good depth of muzzle and large spongey nose with enough stop. Muscled neck set into laid back strong shoulders. Masculine and strong throughout, very well-conditioned. BOB. Went on to be shortlisted in a very strong Gundog Group.

I like this brown dog, six years old ands fully mature. He is square in outline and has a pleasing masculine headpiece, moderate stop and good head plains, ears well set. Good through the neck into a well assembled front, stands on well boned legs and good feet. Good depth of chest. Good spring of rib and short loin. His quarters are well developed with a decent second thigh, tail well set on. He was sound on the move just not as fluid as the winner today, which was the deciding factor. Very close up for the RCC.

A lovely mature boy with plenty of furnishing on head and good coat, balanced and fit for purpose throughout. He has good depth to muzzle and a well defined furrow and occiput, his human like expression really finishes it. He owns a muscular neck and good fore and aft angulation, lovely spring of rib and a broad deep chest. Owns a brilliant top line and tailset which is not exaggerated with good bend of stifle, moved out effortlessly with good drive.

Slightly different stamp and style to the winner, but a very worthy title holder. Presents a good shape both stood and on the move and another with the required square appearance. Balanced head, lean skull, dark eye and a pleasing expression. Strong neck that flows into well placed shoulders. Pleasing topline, short coupled and well made hindquarters. Good thick skin and correct coat texture. Sound on the move but not quite the positive action of the winner on the day.
