Firstly I would like to thank the committee for this wonderful invitation to judge a breed so close to my heart. The show was well run, a fabulous atmosphere ringside and I had some top drawer dogs to get my hands on.
Thank you to all the exhibitors who stayed behind in the awful weather to allow me to judge their lovely dogs, it made it a long day, but everyone seemed to still be in good spirits.
Overall I was really pleased with my principle winners, a lot of variation of heads, eye colour could be better, but my biggest concern overall was lack of muscle tone, which for me, in a gundog is paramount.

1st . Drurylow Sage
Reay Just 6 months, he was thoroughly enjoying his day out, showered me with kisses whilst giving his handler a bit of a hard time. Beautiful head and expression, squarely built, correct body depth for age and well off for bone. He's a little up on leg which one would expect, presented in good coat and condition, he won the class on his sound rear movement.
2nd Diggmere Uno Georgio
Page Another young man of just 6 months, correct head planes, melting expression with a strong well set neck and well laid shoulders. Correct length of body with a strong loin, good width of second thigh and correct tail set. Overall I would like more bone, moved well coming towards, but lost out to one on rear movement.

Burrows Stood alone, but I'm sure he has topped many classes. Square and solid outline, good colour, correct depth of muzzle and lovely head and melting expression. Needs to drop through his body but that will come with time. Strong, well muscled rear quarters, would prefer tighter pasterns, where this dog excels is on the move, free, easy and covering the ground honestly.

1st Fiducia Cho Oyu at Miavita
Giles 2 year old male, well off for bone and coat, prominent breast bone and correct oval bone. Good head, deep muzzle with a kind expression, shoulders could have more layback, deep chest and a well sprung rib and well muscled loin. To finish the picture I would prefer more width of second thigh, won the class on his free ground covering movement.
2nd Stagerun Matteo
Collett Smaller workmanlike boy, presented in good coat and well off for bone. Rather strong in head, particularly on the backskull. Strong neck, nice straight legs and the best feet of the day, deep chest and strong hind quarters, sadly the long day had set in and he was very reluctant on the move.

1st Sh Ch Rubino Spinone del Mucrone with Riccini
Whittingham, Bexon & Wright This boy demanded my attention as soon as he came in the ring, overall he screams spinoni, powerful, strong and robust covered in rough, well presented coat. His head planes are text book, with the almost human, regal expression that the breed is known for. He has the best front construction, well sprung ribs, correct body depth and length and strong rear quarters. On this move this boy stole my heart, covering the ground with ease, powering through the ground holding his topline well. He was well muscled and looked like he could work all day. Pleased to award him Best Dog and Best in Show.
2nd Montecani Youre My Only Hope
Davies Slightly smaller than one, this dogs head and expression melted my heart, correct ear set and good eye colour. Well off for bone and coat, deep chest and strong well muscled loin, strong moderate rear quarters and moved really well. Would just like a better layback of shoulder, which cost him today.

1st Sh Ch Testaverde Enrico Caruso del Jocagil
Gill This fella really caught my eye, with his big personality he was hard to ignore, presented in fantastic coat and hard condition. Beautiful head and eye colour, deep muzzle with good furnishings. Strong neck and well placed shoulders, a little long in rib, but it didn't affect his overall balance, strong well muscled hindquarters, covered the ground well once settled. Res Best dog
2nd Talpalupo Lazzaro at Lajatico
Wain Beautiful head and expression, prominent breast bone, lovely oval bone and great coat texture. Strong neck, deep chest and well muscled loin and strong hind quarters. His movement, particularly in the rear was superb, sadly was really lacking in weight on the day which cost him.

1st Quebaikei Russian Blizzard
Burrows Really balanced girl, beautiful head and almost human expression, good coat covering and texture with good facial furnishings. Deep body, good spring of rib, well off for bone and substance, would prefer a better ear set to be picky. She is a joy to watch on the move, so animated and true. Best Veteran in Show
2nd Diggmere Strawberry Heart at Larhuly
Duncan 9 year old girl, not that she would know. Lovely head and expression, rich in colour with good depth of muzzle and correct furnishings. Would prefer more bone and forechest. A little silly on the move today, she was clearly enjoying her day.

1st Piacente Mocia at Miavita
Giles 8 months old, stood on her own, but full of quality, balanced for age, well off for bone and in good coat and condition. Strong neck, well placed shoulders and straight legs, needs to drop in body but that will come with age. Strong rear, good width of second thigh and tight feet. Moved well once settled. Best Puppy in Show.

1st Karankawa Kashira
Hutt Well balanced young lady, lovely head and expression correct eye shape and colour. Good depth of chest, strong neck and well muscled loin. Presented in good coat and condition, correct leg to length ratio and strong rear quarters. Would like more forechest to finish the picture, moved well once settled.
2nd Karankawa Happy Hatter at Cherrybower
Yarnley This little lady's first show and she handled it like a professional, beautifully balanced, super pretty and overall very feminine. Good bone and coat, in hard condition, deep chest and straight legs. Moved well just needs to work on her confidence which will come with time.

1st Lucoru Perpetual Spring
Coldwell Overall square and solid, but still feminine, lovely oval bone and presented in good coat and excellent pigment. Beautiful head and expression, well laid back shoulder, straight legs and deep chest and well sprung rib, strong well muscled hindquarters which she used to power around the ring with style.
2nd Lajatico Bobini
Wain Really loved this girl, lost out to 1 due to lack of confidence. Beautiful coat colour and condition, correct furnishing and correct oval bone. Lovely head with a melting expression, fantastic lay of shoulder, strong forechest, well sprung rib and well muscled loin. Moved ok, just needs more confidence.

1st Quebaikei Accossato for Oaklaw
Lawton Square solid girl, balanced, well off for bone and in good coat and condition. Good depth of muzzle but rather broad in backskull for me, strong forechest, straight legs and nice feet. Deep chest, well sprung rib and good width of second thigh and nice short hocks, moved steady covering the ground well.
2nd Talpalupo Lorella
Corbett Feminine girl, super pretty, beautiful head and expression, good ear set and muzzle depth, she would benefit from a better lay of shoulder, on the day she was being a fidget which accentuated it, which cost her the class. Good body proportions, strong rear quarters, excellent mover.

1st Sh Ch Annilann Temptress del Michiamo (JW)
Anderson & Mayne What a picture this girl presents, in immaculate condition, feminine, solid and square. Beautiful head and expression, breed standard head planes, good forechest, straight legs, correct depth of chest, strong topline and well muscled loin. Well muscled, moderate hind quarters, short strong hocks and good width of second thigh. Her movement was effortless and couldn't be denied, Best Bitch
2nd Van de Witthemhoeve Scarlet Jackendaw Valentine Slightly smaller girl, in good coat and well off for bone . Beautiful head and expression with a naughty glint in her eye which I loved. Good depth of chest, well sprung ribs and short well muscled loin, she would benefit from a better layback of shoulder, moved effortlessly with drive.

Wain My notes say wow, what a powerhouse this girl is, well off for bone, in good coat and hard condition. Lovely head and expression, good depth of muzzle, strong neck, good layback of shoulder, deep chest, well muscled loin and strong well muscled rear quarters. Would benefit from having her feet tidied, this girl owns the ring on the move, I'm sure she could work for hours. Res Best Bitch
2nd Aura Spinone del Mucrone at Larlila
Dixon Balanced feminine girl, in good coat and condition, well off for bone and substance. Lovely head and expression, correct eye colour and correct ear set. I would like more forechest and a better lay of shoulder. Correct depth of chest, good topline and moderate well muscled hind quarters. Moved ok.
